‘Cities’ is lifelong project, which put myself to each layers. The cities
on the work are Seoul, Barcelona, and Berlin. I born in Seoul and had
been there 20 years before I moved to Barcelona. After a stay of 2
years' duration in Barcelona I started to find different atmosphere. I
already realized that I’ve been changing with climate, mood, and
people of the cities. I moved to Berlin with expectation of observing
myself. ‘Cities’ is composed with 3 photos, which are made with
several single layers. Every people who saw the work look different
parts of the work. I didn’t let them know where the cities are, only
people from Barcelona realized the street of Barcelona and Korean
speakers read some Korean characters.
Most of my works are space based. Each works are single work itself but also the element of the space installation. You can find the several works under the one title.
